Many Rdale students automatically qualify for educational benefits if they participate in certain county or state programs. Once the number of students who qualify for educational benefits reaches a certain amount, the school is classified as a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school.
What this means
Once a school is identified as a CEP school, the school district applies for the program. Once approved, the majority of funds for student meals for that school come from federal dollars rather than state funding.
What families need to do
Families do not need to do anything however Rdale is required to let families know their student attends a CEP school.
