Message From Our Principals

Happy Spring Break!

There will be no school from March 30 through April 3. School will resume on April 6.

When students return, each grade level will take time to review expectations for the classroom, hallways, recess, and lunch. It is important that every student is reminded of what is expected of them here at Meadow Lake so we can finish the school year strong.

This week, Meadow Lake hosted the District Math Masters for 4th- and 5th-grade students. Math Masters is a club for students who love mathematics. Groups meet once a week during the school day to strengthen their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Our 4th and 5th grade Math Masters students are:

Love Page
Kyria Brightness Rusegura
Felix Johnston
Eli Weedor
Max Larson
Asim Ibrahim
Caden Burke
Eshan Osoro
Stacy Nyaramba
Jermell Brown
Roberto Raygoza Arana
Abdullahi Kaliif

We wish our Math Masters the best of luck as they compete at Regionals in April!

In April, Meadow Lake will begin MCA testing for Grades 3–5. These tests, which are completed in English, assess students' skills in Reading, Math, and Science. All students in Grades 3, 4, and 5 will take the Reading and Math assessments, while only 5th grade students will take the Science assessment.

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and Robbinsdale Area Schools (RAS) expect all students to follow state and district policies for test administration. As part of our culture of academic integrity, we remind students of the importance of test security and the expectation that students will keep test content secure and act honestly during testing.
