Message From Our Principals

Dear Meadow Lake Families,

We have a few important updates to share:

Online Learning Extended

Online learning has been extended through March 27. Thank you for your continued flexibility and support as we work together to ensure a smooth learning experience for all students.

No School – February 23

There will be no school on February 23 due to a scheduled staff development day.

Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences

Conferences will be held on March 19, March 24, and March 26. Teachers will soon send sign-up links directly to families. We look forward to connecting with you to celebrate student growth and discuss next steps.

Cell Phone Reminder – Bus Expectations

We have noticed an increase in cell phone use on the bus, which has led to some disruptions. Please remind your child to keep their cell phone stored in their backpack or pocket while riding the bus. Following this expectation helps ensure a safe and calm ride for all students.

The district cell phone policy is outlined in the Robbinsdale Area Schools Student Handbook:

  • Section 2 – Technology Policy:
In grades K–8, personal electronic devices are expected to be “away for the day.” This includes cell phones, smart watches, Bluetooth headphones/earbuds, and similar devices. If brought to school, devices must be stored in a backpack or locker, remain out of sight, and not be used during the school day.

  • Section 4 – Transportation Expectations:
Riding the school bus is a privilege. While on the bus, students are expected to follow the same rules as they would on school property or at school events. All school rules apply at the bus stop and on the bus. Students who do not follow expectations may receive consequences, including the possible loss of bus privileges, in alignment with Board Policy 709: Student Transportation.

We appreciate your partnership in reinforcing these expectations and helping us maintain a positive and safe environment for all students.

Thank you for your continued support!
