Message From Our Principals

Dear Meadow Lake Families,

We are excited to share that we recently welcomed students from Cooper High School to Meadow Lake! During their visit, they spent time working with our students and read the book The World Needs More Purple People. This wonderful story encourages readers to become “purple people” by showing kindness, asking curious questions, and embracing a little silliness along the way. It was a great experience for our students and a meaningful opportunity to connect across schools.

With the recent warmer weather, our playground has become quite wet and muddy. Please encourage your child to wear appropriate outdoor gear, including boots. As we all know, Minnesota winters can change quickly, so continue to send students prepared for cold weather as well. We want everyone to stay warm, dry, and comfortable while enjoying recess.

Please note that our February 19th Family Night has been canceled due to safety concerns. We appreciate your understanding.

We have also noticed an increase in cell phone use on the bus, which has caused some disruptions. Please remind your child to keep their cell phone in their backpack or pocket while riding the bus. Following this expectation will help ensure a safe and calm ride for all students. Please review the district cell phone policy below for additional information.

Thank you for your continued support in creating a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all Meadow Lake students.

Warm regards!

Principal Lacy and Principal Azure
