Message From Our Principals

Dear Meadow Lake Families:

WIN Time Begins Monday
On Monday, we will begin our second WIN cycle—WIN stands for “What I Need.” During this dedicated time each day, students receive personalized instruction, support, or enrichment tailored to their individual needs. Based on data and teacher observations, WIN time ensures every student gets the targeted support needed to grow and succeed.

FAST Testing Begins December 1
When students return to school on December 1, many will begin FAST testing. This assessment screener is given three times a year to monitor progress in reading and math. Teachers use the results to guide instruction and determine any interventions students may need.

Cold Weather Reminders
Please make sure your child comes to school with proper cold-weather gear, including snow pants, boots, winter gloves, a hat, coat/jacket, and scarf. Students go outside for recess daily, and a physician’s note is required if a student needs to stay indoors. When the air temperature is 0°F or below, and/or the wind chill is -10°F or lower, students will remain indoors.

Upcoming No School Days
There will be no school on November 27 and 28. We look forward to welcoming students back on December 1. We hope you all have a safe, restful, and wonderful break!

Warm regards,

Principal Lacy and Principal Azure
