Message From Our Principals

What a wonderful and busy week at Meadow Lake!
We had two exciting events that brought our school community together in celebration, learning, and creativity.

Our students participated in Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day, on Friday. This is an annual event honoring Ruby Bridges’ historic steps and inspiring meaningful dialogue and action. This day encourages students to reflect on how they can stand up against racism and bullying while fostering inclusivity and personal growth. Thank you for helping our students celebrate this important day and reflect on the courage and impact of Ruby Bridges. A special thank-you to Maple Grove and Brooklyn Park Cub for donating popcorn, which our students enjoyed at the end of the walk!

On Thursday, we hosted  Family Night, and it was truly Out of This World! Families enjoyed activities such as face painting, building straw rockets, and creating planets. Many of these creations came together to form a beautiful hallway mural now on display. Thank you to our Family Night Committee for all of their hard work in planning this event. The evening wrapped up with our talented 5th graders performing “Pirates! The Musical,” showcasing their hard work and musical skills. We are so proud of them!

Thank you for being part of such a special week at Meadow Lake!

Warm regards,
Principal Lacy & Principal Azure
