Message From Our Principals

Dear Meadow Lake Families,

As we head into the final few days of the 2024–2025 school year, we want to take a moment to celebrate all the fun, accomplishments, and community we’ve shared together this week.

Super Fun Day – Track & Field Success!
Yesterday, Thursday, May 29th, our students participated in the MLE Track and Field Day—also known as Super Fun Day! It was a day filled with energy, laughter, and school spirit. A huge thank you goes out to our amazing Meadow Lake staff who organized and supervised events, led games, cheered on our students, and made the entire day a memorable one. A special shout-out to our incredible 5th grade students who supported teachers at various stations and helped the day run smoothly. Our students had an absolute blast!

Meadow Lake Medley – A Magical Evening!
Last night we celebrated our 19th Annual Meadow Lake Medley Family Night, and what a success it was! From fantastic student performances to delicious ice cream, food trucks, and a dance party hosted by DJ Withers, it was a night to remember. Thank you to all the families who came out to celebrate the talents and joy of our school community.

Welcome Back Meadow Lake Alumni!

This morning, we had the special honor of welcoming back some of the graduating seniors from Cooper High School and Armstrong High School—former Meadow Lake students! Dressed in their caps and gowns, they walked outside along a special path we created, while our elementary students lined the route and cheered them on. It was a heartwarming celebration of their achievements and a powerful reminder to our students that they, too, can dream big and reach their goals. We are so proud of our alumni and thrilled to share in their success!

Celebrating Our 5th Grade Stars!
Today at 11:45 a.m., we are thrilled to honor our 5th grade students as they prepare to transition to middle school. This special celebration will feature four incredible student speakers:
🌟 Suehaila Hussein – Ms. Ede's class
🌟 Qorrah Galette – Ms. Conway's class
🌟 London Norful – Ms. Batt's class
🌟 Ridwah Adan – Ms. Malecha's class

We are so proud of these students and all of our 5th graders for their growth, leadership, and contributions this year.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated 5th grade teachers—Ms. Joey Batt, Ms. Erin Conway, Ms. Morgan Ede, and Ms. Elizabeth Malecha—for their guidance, support, and commitment to student success. We also want to recognize the incredible contributions of Ms. Brittney Keating, our school counselor, Ms. Diamond Sampson, our Climate and Culture Specialist, and Ms. Hannah Thao, our music director, for helping make this celebration both meaningful and memorable.

We can't wait to cheer on our future middle schoolers!

Kindergarten Moving On Ceremony – June 2
On Monday, June 2nd at 12:30 p.m., our kindergarten students will have their Moving On Ceremony in the East Gym. Families may bring up to four guests to help celebrate this important milestone. We are so excited to recognize our youngest learners as they prepare to become 1st graders!

Annual Student Talent Show – June 3
Get ready to be amazed! On Tuesday, June 3rd, we will host our Annual Student Talent Show. Our students have been practicing and preparing, and we can’t wait to see their creativity and confidence shine on stage.

Last Day of School – June 4
Wednesday, June 4th marks the final day of this school year. While it’s always bittersweet to say goodbye, we are so grateful for the journey we've shared. It has been a true joy to work with your children this year—they have grown, achieved, and inspired us daily. Thank you, parents and guardians, for your support, partnership, and dedication to your child's education. You make Meadow Lake a truly special place.

Wishing everyone a safe, restful, and fun-filled summer!
