Celebrating Excellence at Meadow Lake: EAGLE Assembly Shines a Light on Attendance and Achievement

On May 23, 2025, Meadow Lake Elementary proudly hosted our final EAGLE Assembly of the school year—an inspiring event dedicated to celebrating the core values that make our school community soar. This month's theme was "Attendance", with a special spotlight on Student Recognition for outstanding effort, growth, and achievement.  Students and staff gathered with excitement and pride as we reflected on a year filled with dedication and progress.

Focusing on Attendance

Good attendance is key to student success, and this assembly honored those who made it a priority. Perfect Attendance awards were given to students who were present every day of the 2024–25 school year—a truly impressive accomplishment!

Perfect Attendance Honorees:

  • Kindergarten: Lakishia Gori, Keysha Monubi

  • 1st Grade: Lois Machoka, Bevin Okari, Jacquez Donnerson and Fortune Hounsou

  • 2nd Grade: Kendall Deanah and Dylan Gori

  • 3rd Grade: Kyria Rusegura, Love Page, Mayah Mulbach and Miriam Mulbah

  • 4th Grade: Tia Lacy, Jamir Brown, Abdirahman Mohamed, Jermell Brown, and Namahj Daniel

  • 5th Grade: Precious , Tiana Maclin, Talha Ibrahim, Zakhi Shelby, Masonah Kourouma, Jasmine Jah

Achieving perfect attendance is no small feat—it shows dedication, resilience, and a strong commitment to learning. We are incredibly proud of these students!

In addition to perfect attendance, we also recognized students who had 98% or better attendance, having missed only one, two, or three days throughout the school year. Every day at school counts, and these students set a shining example for us all.

Recognition and Gratitude

We would like to show gratitude and recognize Meadow Lake students who have had a fantastic 2024–25 school year. Teachers selected students who consistently demonstrated our Meadow Lake 4 B’s:

  • Be Respectful

  • Be Responsible

  • Belong

  • Be a Bucketfiller

These students have positively contributed to their classrooms and our school community in meaningful ways, and we are proud to honor their efforts.

Assembly Highlights

To close out the celebration and reward students for their incredible hard work—especially their progress on the FastBridge Assessments—we hosted a Students vs. Staff Basketball Game. The gym was full of energy, excitement, and laughter as students and staff went head-to-head in a fun and friendly competition. It was a perfect way to wrap up the assembly and celebrate a year of growth and success.

Soaring into Summer with Pride!

As we move toward the end of the school year, we celebrate the many accomplishments of our students and staff. Thank you to our Meadow Lake families for your ongoing support. Let’s finish the year strong—EAGLEs always rise!
