Celebrating Our School Heroes and Supporting Student Success!
Week of May 5–9, 2025
As we head into May, our school is buzzing with celebration and important learning moments! We want to take a moment to highlight some special events and updates for our families this week.
Teacher Appreciation Week (May 5–9)
This week, we honor the heart of our school—our amazing teachers! Their dedication, creativity, and care make a lasting difference in our students' lives every single day. We invite families to join us in celebrating our teachers with notes of thanks, small acts of kindness, or simply a smile and a word of appreciation. Your support means the world to our staff!
National School Nurse's Day (May 7)
On Wednesday, May 7, we celebrate National School Nurse's Day! Jennifer Rainerson, our school nurse, plays a vital role in keeping our students healthy, safe, and ready to learn. From managing daily health needs to supporting families and staff, our nurse is a true hero in our school community. Please join us in showing appreciation for all the care and expertise they provide.
FastBridge Testing: May 5–16
Starting this week, all students in Kindergarten through 5th grade will be participating in FastBridge testing. FastBridge is a set of research-based assessments that help us quickly measure student achievement in reading and math. These important checks allow us to identify students who may need additional support or enrichment and track their progress over time.
Families will receive a FastBridge Family Report following testing, which will provide a snapshot of your child’s academic progress, including their current performance level and growth. Thank you for encouraging your child to do their best during this assessment window!
Thank you for partnering with us to make May a month of celebration, reflection, and continued growth. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
