Message From Our Principals
On Thursday, April 17th, all Meadow Lake students participated in Problem Solving assemblies as part of our continued focus on social-emotional learning. These assemblies were designed to help students build essential skills for managing emotions, resolving conflicts, and making thoughtful decisions.
Using our Second Step curriculum, students explored age-appropriate strategies for identifying problems, considering others' perspectives, and choosing respectful solutions. These lessons are a key part of our effort to support a positive, inclusive school climate where every student feels seen and heard.
As we move into the final stretch of the school year, we are also encouraging students to strengthen their friendship skills. The end of the year can bring exciting changes—field trips, transitions, and new classroom dynamics. It's a great time to remind students about kindness, empathy, and resolving peer conflicts in healthy ways. Families can support this at home with simple check-ins about friendships and by practicing active listening and problem-solving together.
Thank you for partnering with us to help your child grow both socially and emotionally. We’re proud of all the progress our students are making!
