Throughout February our classrooms will foster important conversations about Black history within our school community. We encourage families to ask their students what they are learning about Black history and continue these conversations at home.
We also invite our whole community to join us on Feb 28th at Robbinsdale Middle School from 5:30-7:30pm for a district wide celebration of Black History Month. The event will feature appetizers from various African cultures and student performances by:
- Cooper Step Team
- Armstrong African Empire
- FAIR Pilgrim Lane 3rd Grade Students
- Spoken word poetry from PMS, Cooper and Armstrong students
- Cooper African Student Association
- FAIR Crystal Choir and Dance groups
- Special guest Brother Ghana
