Kindergarten students learned that in some places, students zip line to school! They tried to create a safe chair for students after watching a video and learning from the experts. 

5th grade students designed a container that will carry a pumpkin across a 50ft zipline! Were they successful, we will find out on October 31. 

Third grade students have been talking about what an engineer is. They are learning the engineering design process. Using just cups and 1 piece of cardboard, they had to build a structure they could stand on. Look at their hard work!

Ms. Kelleher's 4th grade class spent the morning engineering and building classroom community. Groups were tasked to create a list of how many things they had in common. For every common characteristic they found, they received a note card and were challenged to collaboratively build the tallest tower.  

Ms. Beacom's 4th grade students used their knowledge of material properties to create tools that would help them solve an engineering challenge.                                                                             Engineering
